Please excuse the dust...

Pardon me, while I fool around with the layout of my blog. I am having way too much fun learning html language and changing the font color and adding borders and such. In fact, I am having so much fun that my reading has taken a back seat. No worries though because I think, I am (almost) certain, I like this layout. But, if you happen to check back with me and everything is different do not be alarmed. It's just me messing around and trying a few things out.

I like it :) I really like the border, but I have to admit, I like it when the blogs are a bit wider :P

I'm awed that anyone can actually have fun with HMTL - it scares me!!

Nath, Funny you should mention it. It took me the longest time to figure out how to widen my blog. It took so long because, see the cream colored background; well, that is a picture and the picture is only 700px wide. Its really complicated, but I did figure out how to make it wider, but now I am wondering if I should have made it even wider. Actually, I think I like it now.

I went to your's and Nikki's website and viewed the source code to learn how to make borders. I like borders. I think it makes everything look neater. I have been wavering between having three columns or having two columns. So far I like two. We shall see! All this is new to me so I am having fun playing around.

Kristie, Oh my gosh! If I can do it anybody can!!! Its more like trial and error for me. I change a number and then preview to see what happened. It takes a while sometimes to figure out what happened. LOL!

When I first started learning html and realized all of the neat stuff I could do with it, I became a html maniac. I was so obsessed with it that I even started having dreams about being in html land, in a maze of sorts, trying to figure my way out.

Hopefully the same does not happen to you. It was freaky.

Anyway, good luck with your blog, Jill. It's looking good!

Ohh... if your background's a pic, then it makes it a bit difficult. Unless you have photoshop, then you can resize.

I agree, html stuff is a lot of trials and errors. it was driving me nuts, because the previous template I had was completely different and some of the elements in my new template was named differently and so on... Ugh. I have no background in html whatsoever, so I'm really glad I pulled it out.

and LOL, not to influence your choice, but me like 2 columns better :P

Brie - well it shows that you know what you're doing and your template is just soooo nice, i'm really jealous. LOL :P

Now see - columns I understand - not how to do them, but what they are. I prefer two myself. With three I just find it confusing.

Brie, So far I haven't dreamed of html but while I am driving I find myself thinking of changes to make to my blog. Thanks for the compliment, I am glad you like the layout. :)

Nath and Kristi, I think I will stick with the two columns. You have a point, I think they are less confusing and not quite so busy.
